The Challenge
Skin Works by Jana is a clinical skincare studio in Jackson Hole — a market where the differentiators are real (medical-grade treatments, genuine exclusivity) but invisible if the search landscape can’t see them. The practice needed to own its category in local search, and increasingly in the AI answer engines that high-intent clients now ask first — without the reach or budget of a national chain.
The Approach
A disciplined search-and-content program built for a destination market: cornerstone articles targeting the practice’s exclusive treatment categories, a technical foundation tuned for local and AI discovery, and structured data written so both Google and the generative engines could read the practice clearly.
The work was tracked continuously and reported in plain language — SEMrush for the competitive ceiling, Google Search Console for the real-user reality, side by side — so the story stayed honest about which number meant what.
The Outcome
In three months, the practice’s tracked local search visibility more than doubled — from an 11.7% baseline to 28.9%, first in the Jackson Hole market — with five #1 rankings across its exclusive treatment categories.
The most striking result sits in the layer the category is moving toward. Across eight AI search engines, skinworksbyjana.com became the most-cited skincare-practice website in the Jackson Hole conversation — cited 1,147 times across 91 pages of the site in a single month, ranked first of 968 tracked competitors, behind only Google and Instagram themselves.
One qualifier we hold to: these figures are for tracked local search visibility (SEMrush, Jackson, WY) — not a bare “#1 on Google.” Real-user Search Console positions sit lower, and we report both, side by side, every month.
